PINEAPPLE UPSIDE DOWN
Ingredients:
Pineapple tin -1
Brown Sugar – 100 grams
(caramelized and put to graced)
Cherries as required
Maida – 300 grams
Sugar – 240 grams
Butter – 240 grams
Eggs – 6
Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
Pineapple juice – 60 ml
Pineapple essence – few drops
Yellow color- few drops
Method:
Greece the tin and caramelized the sugar and the sides with the sugar.
Arrange pineapple slices in the baking tray
Keep cherries in the center of each pineapple slice
Sieve flour, baking powder twice
Beat sugar and butter till light and fluffy
Add eggs one by one
Beating one at the time
Add essence and colour and juice
Mix well
Add the maida
Mix well
Pour this batter over the pineapple slices
Bake for 20-30 m ins at 180 degree c
When bake is done
Take it out
Loosen the sides with the knife
Turn it over immediately
Otherwise caramelized harden and cake will break
Serve it hot or cold as preferred.
