UPMA

UPMA





Ingredients:

One cup
Water- 2 cups
Cashew- around 10
Chopped Onions- one cup
Peas Boiled – 100 grams
Green Chilies- 2 Finely Chopped
Kadi Patta- few leaves
Sarso Dana – ½ tea spoon
Chana Dana – ½ tea Spoon
Lemon juice – One lemon
Salt to taste


Method:

Roast suji without fat till brown in color
Keep aside in a separate kadai
Heat oil
Add sarso dana
Chana dana
When slightly brown add green chilies
Add kadi patta
Chopped onions
When onions are light pink in color
Add boiled peas
Mix well
Add water when it starts boiling
Add salt
Reduce heat
Add suji
Slowly stirring all the time
When the water dries add lemon juice
Mix well
Keep it cover for a few minutes
Serve hot with grated coconut

Tips:
One bowl curd and little water to the curd; in this process add suji first and sprinkle curd water and stir it continuously.
