FRUIT CAKE
Ingredients:
4 eggs
240 grams sugar
150 grams butter
½ cup chopped cashew nuts
½ cup peanuts
¼ cup of raisin
½ cup cake fruits with different colours
Few drops vanilla essence
¾ teaspoon baking powder
Milk as required.
Method:
In a thali add all the nuts and dry fruits and mix maida lightly.
This has to be added lightly at the end before pouring the batter in the cake tin.
Sieve maida and baking powder thrice.
Beat sugar and butter till light and fluffy.
Beat egg separately til light & fluffy
Add the beaten eggs to sugar and butter
Again beat for sometime
Finally add maida gradually in cut and fold method.
Add milk to the batter so that we get the proper consistency or flowing consistency,
Add the mixture of fruits & nuts to the batter and mix well lightly.
Pour the batter into the cake tin.
Preheat the over at 150 c for 8-10 minutes.
Put the filled tin in the oven
Bake it in a an oven at 150 c for 10 minutes
When batter rises, decrease the temperature to 100 c.
Check the cake with any pointed things to know its properly cooked.
If its still not yet cooked properly, keep he temperature for 50 c for again 10 minutes
Switch off the oven and leave the cake at the oven for some time.
