BLACK FOREST CAKE

BLACK FOREST CAKE









Ingredients:

Maida – 150 grams
Cocoa – 50 grams
Sugar – 200 grams
Eggs – 6
Baking powder – ¾ tsp
Soda – ¾ tsp
Vanilla essence – few drops
Lemon juices – few drops (optional)
Salt – a pinch (optional)
Cream – 300 grams
Icing sugar- 3-4 tsp
Cherry tin – 1 small
Rum -5-10 ml (optional)


Method:

Sieve the flour, cocoa, baking powder, salt and soda
Break eggs & separate white an yellow in different pan
Now beat white one till the peak consistency
Now beat yellow till peak consistency
Add sugar & beat
Add vanilla essence
In the end, add the flour and bake at 200 c till it is done
Cool cake for decoration
Cut the cake horizontally
Soak it with the syrup of cherries
Beat cream and icing sugar till it is thick
Spread layer of the cream on parts
Place cherries over the one
Put the other part of cake
Now decorate with cream, cherries and grate chocolates over it.
